Reaction to new conflict brewing in Democratic Republic of Congo

Child soldiers of the DFLR in eastern Congo.
During and after the Rwandan genocide, thousands of Hutu refugees fled to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where many still remain. There, they grow resentment of the Tutsi for pushing them out of their country, children are brought up believing it to be theirs, and the Tutsis are cockroaches. The former Interahamwe, now the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (DFLR), is at the root of this strife, in the eastern Congo. They now use child soldiers, and they are still fixed on removing the Tutsis permanently, coming up with the philosophy of the Hutu 10 Commandments, one stating all Tutsis are Hutus common enemy, and teaching it to orphaned children. . It has also been suggested that they make millions off smuggled precious resources in the area such as gold and diamonds. They also oppress the local people in the Congo, where they threaten people into giving them food and money. In addition, they steal crops, and institute “taxes” and “tolls” over the local people. This oppression of the local people, is similar to what the Hutu experienced from the Tutsis, and may lead to a similar conflict between the local people of eastern Congo and the Hutu or the Tutsi. The Congo may (or has) develop a hatred for the Tutsi because they caused the Hutus to be there or the Hutu directly. Which everyway it turns out, this conflict may lead to another worse than the 1994 Rwandan Genocide.    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/may/16/congo.rwanda
